Meeting the fam

Hi - I'm Caleb

This is my Dad, his seems pretty cool so far (though his typing skills leave a lot to be desired)

My big brother Lucas was really excited to hold me.

I picked a pretty awesome family to join - and I haven't even met Tank yet!

How it went down

I was just hanging out in there, Mom, minding my own, when I felt some pressure and...

BAM!

He's here!

Caleb James Famini joined the family at 11:43PM on June 20th

He weighed in at 7lbs 2oz and 20.5 inches tall

Mom was VERY happy to meet this guy

Dad was also pretty pumped to see Caleb

The hospital room was ridiculously large

And had a pretty nice view (when you pretend the Mall isn't there just to the right)

Now stop messing around and do my bidding old man!

Yay for Caleb!

Alllmost time

Mom keeps talking about how uncomfortable she is - you really think it could be worse than being stretched between 2 shopping carts?!?

We decided a fast walk may help pop baby brother out. And nothing says fast walk in Arkansas like a pull up and Crocs.

I am literally walking on air thinking about how awesome I look right now

This divining rod will show me where baby brother is...

Wait, how do babies come out of Mommies? Forget that, I am going over to my buddies Gavin's house! I'll meet the new dude later.

Caleb's room

Before Caleb joined us, Amy spent a lot of time thinking about how to decorate a room that we can't paint. Here it is!

We are reusing some of Lucas's stuff (crib, armoire, bedding) but are spicing it up a little for Caleb.

(Note the Best-brand chair Amy scored off craigslist, one of 3 that we now own. It "makes sense" when you realize this house is 3x+ the size of our home in Richmond)

There are a ton of great trees out the window

We had some pics from one of Lucas's favorite books framed up to inspire calm diaper changes

Caleb how no idea how lucky he is with a closet this size just for him.

We found a sweet super-hero ABC print for the pint-sized guy with the power to keep us up all hours of the night!

Programming Note

Since I am a little behind in blogging and there is a new Famini dude that demands blogs, I am going to intersperse the remaining pre-Caleb pics with one including him. FYI.

Street Bubbles

Hmm, what is this weird box on the corner?

Let me check that its working (NOTE - Do not touch electrical outlets without adult supervision)

Ooh, this thing makes bubbles?

LOTS of bubbles!

Too many bubbles!

What I know about Tornados

If you see this on TV and hear a siren...

You get to watch Toy Story in the bathroom.

And now I know we should really go to the basement storage room. But still watch a movie. Booyah.

Bunny time

Bunny face!

This all started a few days ago when Mom made me throw eggs into cups and then cover them with glitter

They looked pretty cool

So did the cupcakes Mom made, mmmmm. I love sprinkles.

Anyway, then I woke up one Sunday to find an egg full of jelly beans in my face. Have you ever had jelly beans? They are DELICIOUS!!!!

Dad and I got to go through baskets full of sweet swag. Mom must have been naughty because the Easter Bunny didn't bring her one.

Breakfast was a cinnamon roll treat too, it was insane. I was feeling pretty good after all that sugar, let me tell you.

That bunny was thoughtful and hid eggs in the house since it was raining here. MONEY EGG!

Tank helped me find them all.

We ended the day with my first movie theater experience to see Rio. Easter is awesome.
