Late late late! In fact, it was decided that the little guy was late enough to be induced into the world. The eviction was posted and we were scheduled to go into Oakland Friday evening. However, when we called to make sure there was room, Oakland told us they were too full! What! Eviction notices are like law, there is no going back. Luckily the nurses in Oakland called around to all the Kaisers in the Bay Area looking for someone to take Amy in. Hayward: No. San Rafael: No. SF: No. Santa Rosa: No. Walnut Creek: Maybe. Then... YES! So we hurried out to Walnut Creek at 9PM Friday night to get things started. Amy was feeling the nerves as we left the parking lot:
Once inside Amy was set up in a very large room and after a couple hours of getting set up, the the magic began to happen. Amy was very calm at first:
Magic continued to happen throughout Saturday afternoon. Family members took over the waiting room eager to meet the little guy. The birth room was also full of supporters - Amys mom with her midwife and motherly expertise, Sister Sara, Sister-in-Law Stephanie, Me (hubby Chris) and Amy's dad David. The nurses and midwives that helped out were all super nice and helpful, especially RN Lois and Midwife Sarah. Yada yada yada, there was a baby!
